Problem
The foreign population in Taiwan hits a record high. The number of foreign nationals in Taiwan
reached 648,000 people at the end of 2011, up 56,000 from a year
earlier.

Introduction
TA of the iMMERSTAY is for foreigners who come to Taiwan and are looking for long-term accommodation. There are many kinds of accommodation, and users can find rooms provided by host families of residents.
Design Conceptualization
In Taiwan, no such platforms exist. However, Airbnb is similar, except it is a worldwide accommodation platform, not focusing on a specific area. That is why we did iMMERSTAY only for users in Taiwan. Furthermore, when compared with Airbnb, a particular function, "tenant wishes," allows applicants to post their requirements (ex: Non-smoker, No kids, No pet, Not student, Vegan) and the space they want the hosts and guests will be paired.

Project Impact
Initially, iMMERSTAY was an unknown platform in Taiwan, nevertheless, the usage rate became higher year by year. iMMERSTAY will become a Taiwanese Airbnb in the future.
